Karim Farishta Awarded Truman Scholarship

Karim Farishta, a GW junior, has been awarded the coveted Truman Scholarship!

With a major in international affairs with a concentration in conflict resolution, Karim was one of 54 students nationwide awarded the prestigious and competitive Truman Scholarship. The Truman Scholarship is a $30,000 grant awarded to college juniors for their leadership potential and commitment to public service.  Karim is an International Leadership Foundation Civic Fellow, and he has interned at the White House and the U.S. Agency for International Development. He was recently offered a full-time position at the White House as a staff assistant for White House Personnel in the Office of Management and Administration.
