A junior majoring in international affairs at GW, Stephanie Purwanto has recently been featured in GW Today!  A recipient of a GW Undergraduate Research Award, Stephanie spent last summer investigating misinformation media campaigns in home of Indonesia.   Stephanie hopes that her research will serve as the basis for her senior thesis, which explores the connection between racial and ethnic tensions and economic disparities.

Stephanie has been working on this project under Janet Steele, Professor of Media and Public Affairs and International Affairs.
