Reem Al Shabeeb, a senior at GW, has recently been featured in GW Today! An Iraqi-born student who arrived in the US with her family at age 17, Reem has taken full advantage of the undergraduate fellowship opportunities offered at GW. Reem is pursuring a double major of chemistry and biology and works under Assistant Professors Peter Nemes and Molly Manier in each discipline, engaging in valuable research that has the potential to help those suffering from neurodegenerative diseases and infertility issues. Although Reem is busy in the lab and with her classes, she has found time to explore a new hobby: karate!
